Isa Came to town!

I just took Isa back to the airport this morning. =( She was in town from Thursday through Monday morning. We had a ton of fun. We went to Miranda's house on Thursday and spent the day with her and the kids. Miranda made us breakfast (amazing pancakes and bacon) and we ate with her and Shane and the kids. Then it was bath time for the kids.

Then, we all piled in the Jeep and went to see the Cryogenically frozen dead guy in the middle of Nederland. Interesting...he is in a Tuff shed. (Call Miranda for the full story, quite interesting!

Next, we were going to go sledding up at El Dora, but all the snow had melted...so we watched some skiers crash. Isa had never seen ski slopes before so it was a great time.

Posing at the slopes.

After that, we went to get lunch at a restaurant down the street. The food was good, the company was great, and the view was amazing.

Then, we all went to the Denver Aquarium. It was a blast! That is one of the coolest Aquariums I have ever been to.

The kids had a great time. We went around 5 p.m. on a Thursday so it was almost empty. No waiting in lines to see exhibits which was really nice with the kids. They had a 200 lbs fish, lots of sharks with amazing viewing tanks, a big playful octopus, 3 huge green eels, and the kids favorite...a petting tank for the stingrays. Anabelle wanted to go swimming with them. There were people feeding the stingrays so they would come to the surface a splash around. Kai sat there with his arms in the water calling, "Here stingy, stingy, stingy." So cute! It came out sounding more like "Here stinky, stinky, stinky." Very comical. Needless to say, we all had a blast!

Isa and I went shopping and hung around Colo Spgs Friday.
We ate at Jose Muldoon's downtown. It had the best mexican food I have had in a long time. Mexican food in Colo Spgs is not like Texas. Jose Muldoon's also holds the World Record for largest Margarita ever made. It was 4756.5 gallons of margarita. Yummy!

On Sunday, we went to Garden of the Gods with Jason. That park is so beautiful!

Isa with the balanced rock

We were chillin on a rock. Actually, chillin is not the exact word I would use. We were up pretty high to get that pic and Isa is afraid of heights. I am really proud of her for being able to make it!

Group Picture!!!

We had a ton of fun, but I am exhausted now. We had to get up at 4:30 this morning to make it to the airport in time. Ugh!

But, Jason and I leave for Mexico This Sunday so we are very excited!!! See you soon Mom, Dad and Bryce!

Beautiful Weekend

After all the snow and single-digit-degree weather we have been having here, last weekend was amazing!
Jason and I got up Saturday to bright blue skies and 55 degree weather! We were excited. I had not been able to spend much time outside lately (the downfall of a desk job), and the weather was gorgeous so we decided to spend the day outside. Toby had not been outside to play (other than his 3 daily walks) in a long time. So, we packed a picnic and headed to Garden of the Gods park. It was beautiful! Lots of people out since it was the first perfect day in awhile, but we didn't mind. The park use to be owned in the 30's by a man from NY. When he died, his kids donated the park to Colorado Springs and made sure that it would forever be a free park. So, the public basically has free reign of the park. There are little trails everywhere so it was easy to get away from all the people since they all stuck mostly to the one paved path. Toby was in heaven! We were climbing up and down rocks and Toby was leading the way. We kept him on the leash most of the time, just in case he fell. Jason and I did most of the slipping and slidding though, it pays to have 4 legs! Toby was unfortunately introduced to the Cactus. He found an entire patch of cacti. He was a very tuff pup though. No wining or crying. We noticed him limping and picked him up. He must have had 50 spines in his feet. We sat and pulled them all out of the poor Tubs. Then, he was off again. He was much more careful of where he steped after that. We had a picnic of Tuna sandwiches, PB&J sandwiches, chips/salsa, pickles and olives. It was delicious. It was getting cloudy and windy by that time and Toby was exhausted so we called it a day.

Sunday was just as gorgeous and a bit warmer. We decided to go and check out the dog park in Colorado Springs. It was Awesome! Once again, since the weather was beautiful, the park was crowded. But, this time it was a good thing. The more people and dogs, the better! The park is a big fenced in area with hills, fields, trees, and a creek. It also has a smaller fenced in area for the little dogs. We kept Toby on the lease and walked him around the big area. He did a lot of sniffing and peeing. He was unfortunately still a little tired from the day before so he was a little anti-social at first. The we took him to the smaller dog area and let him free. He had a blast, made new friends. There were so many dogs! Jason and I just sat and watched all the dogs play and petted the ones that came close enough to check us out. There were so many beautiful dogs. There was an Italian Greyhound that was about knee height and gorgeous. He was so sweet and loving too. I want one!!! Toby made friends with a Chihuahua and they chased eachother around for awhile. Jason and I got to watch all the new dogs coming to the park. We got to see two Newfunlunds (sp?), they were huge! We also saw a St. Bernard and a hundred other amazing dogs! I wish I had a dog park in my back yard!!!
2 Days till Valentines Day, 5 Days till my birthday, and 10 days till Isa gets here!! Yay!!!
